Description:

•The larvae emerge after two or three years.
•The main flight period is June to July.
•They fly swift and low, skimming the water surface, while defending their territories.

Habitat:

Open water with bare patches along the shore, near slow-flowing waters, lakes, rivers, ponds, marshy area, without dense riparian vegetation
-I saw this dragonfly in Hildesheim(Germany)
