Field Notes

Description:

A beautiful ground orchid. Height around 25cm. Flower stem is shaped like a hook, hence the name. Flowers sepals are very pale pink outside, petals are also pale pink , the lip being bright pink and yellow. Leaves are pale green, long lanceolate shaped.

Habitat:

Found in rocky, sandy soil, around 50m above sea level. Coastal position in full sun after days of heavy rain.
