Field Notes

Description:

This poor Rhino beetle was a little worse for wear after having spent much of the past few days stranded on his back. (This was the 4th time in 3 days I'd found him and flipped him over.) When offered half a grape, he got stuck in as if his life depended on it… I know it was my imagination, but I could almost hear him slurping up that grape juice! ;)
Length approx. 5 cm / 2 inches.

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila.
