Field Notes

Description:

This cheetah was walking towards the main path of the Ngorongoro crater and then as she started to cross it she decided to sit down right in the middle of the path infront of us and just sat there for about 10 minutes as if posing for photos, when she finally got up she headed towards a herd of Thompsons Gazelle and we thought we would see her in action as she seemed to slink towards them but then she zig zagged away and off in the opposite direction. we watched just in case she was trying to lull them into a false sense of security but she just disappeared off into the long grass in the distance.Still such a beautiful cat to watch though.

Habitat:

seen at Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania.
