Field Notes

Description:

Large owl with brown, gray, and white coloring. It has a black ring around its face, and a short bill. It has large talons which are visible in some of the pictures. It has large yellow eyes, and tufts of hair by its' ears.

Habitat:

This owl was found in a neighborhood park that is surrounded by fields.

Notes:

This owl was sitting in close proximity to its nest. I also was able to get some pictures of its young which I will add to my spottings. I was very excited to happen upon the adult. It was very well camouflaged.
