Description:

The Pauraque – also called the Common Pauraque to distinguish it from similar species – is a nightjar species, the only bird in the genus Nyctidromus.

It's similar like nightjar... Are they the same family ? Lovely photograph...
Can do. Some people "lump" goat suckers in with raptors as "Raptors and Nightjars".
Very beautiful bird...we get poorwills and nighthawks at our raptor center to rehab only because we have the food for them...but they aren't raptors!! Sorry, Cody...would you remove it from the Raptor mission?? Thanks!
