Field Notes

Description:

Powder blue Tanager, this subspecies has a white shouldered patch and wing bars.
Mostly found in South America this could be found in the Andes.
But this one was spotted in Livermore, CA.
Slight chance a vagrant but most likely an escaped pet.

Habitat:

Found in Sycamore trees and by the creek. But since it mostly hung near the entrance and water fountain, it is used to humans.
