Field Notes

Description:

The majority of audax specimens are black with three white spots. The adult audax with three orange or red spots are more unusual, especially from areas other than North FL. It is common for juveniles to have orange markings. Carapace bands are also uncommon.

Habitat:

Shrub in a wooded trail next to Lake Lewisville
