Description:

Sunbonnets--plant is an upright, tiny perennial. Its preferred habitat is savannas, pinelands. The leaves are mostly in a basal rosette, consisting of one whole part. The flower is a solitary head; usually nodding. The color is white. This is a spring flower.

Habitat:

These tiny little sunbonnet wildflowers were spotted throughout the pine forest trail at the Sandhill Crane Wildlife Refuge in Gautier, Mississippi.
