Field Notes

Description:

I found this bug in my school walking around in a man made railing. It has a pattern with a nice mix of orange, black, and green all over its body. It has six legs and two antennas. It moved very fast for a bug as well.

Habitat:

SAS Rainforest on Railing.

Species ID Suggestions

Unfortunately I did not find any match, neither in Scutelleridae nor in Pentatomidae. Nymphs are always tricky to ID, since they change their colors and markings during the instars. I would now go back to Pentatomoidea nymph.
Please put it into 'Arthropods' category. Thanks.
Pentatomoidea nymph, Pentatomidae or Scutelleridae. I would tend to Scutelleridae, but that's just a feeling in the guts, I am not that sure.
