Field Notes

Notes:

I was walking along a coastal road on the 8th February and spotted many of these 2 species of moth on the road itself, and thought it very strange. 4 days later I did the same walk and could not believe what I found. This wire fencing has only been in place for 1 month but was literally covered with empty pupa cases, eggs, & Lappet moth caterpillars. I stopped counting pupa cases when I reached 561, but there were many more.
