Field Notes

Description:

This plant had no flower or fruit that I could see. The leaves are big and have a crenate shape of about 15 cm in width and 19 cm in length. The leaves have a serrate leaf margin. The leaves also have a netted pinnate venation with alternative leaf arrangements. The leaves feel waxy, smooth and dry and they have drip tips. The stem is thin and smooth.

Habitat:

In the Singapore American school rain forest in a place with lots of sunlight.
