Description:

Female: Long tail and stout beak.

Habitat:

Mexico and southwestern U.S., from Texas to southern California. This spotting in valley of Sonoita Creek, in Sonoran desert of Arizona.

Notes:

Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, Arizona.

ForestDragon, Thanks for the comment. I acknowledge your identification--I'm not so confident with birds.
