I'm sorry for the incorrect correction, I have changed it.
Cacao originates from South America but has now been widely distributed through out the world. Growing mainly as an understory in tropical regions that have temperatures ranging from 18-32c and does well anywhere that is not dry, salty, or cold.
I appreciate the comment, however those only grow in Central America, and this picture was taken in Singapore. But thanks for the thought.
