Description:

Peacock (Pavo cristatus) is a large bird of the Galliformes order, belonging to the family Phasianidae. Their "relatives" closest are the Pheasants.
O pavão (Pavo cristatus) é uma ave de grande porte, da Ordem Galliformes, pertencente à família Phasianidae. Seus “parentes” mais próximos são os Faisões.

Habitat:

These birds come from Asia (Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India), and India were once considered sacred animals.
Essas aves têm origem na Ásia (Paquistão, Sri Lanka e Índia), sendo que na Índia já foram considerados animais sagrados.

Notes:

I believe that in Brazil there are not many and the ones here are probably in captivity.
Acredito que aqui no Brasil não existam muitas e as que estão aqui provavelmente estão em cativeiro.
