Field Notes

Description:

Looked like a bit of rolled up dried leaf but the "horns"gave it away. When I looked closely, I saw it has a design made up of tiny green marks on the "cheeks.

Habitat:

On the leaves of a Bauhinia plant. Residential area. Urban.

Notes:

The last photo is perhaps that of its moulted skin.

Definitely a Nymphalidae, Limenitidinae, Neptini. I am not sure if it a Neptis sp., and if yes, which one or Phaedyma columella. Both caterpillar are looking very similar. earlystages will know it for sure!
