Field Notes

Description:

These two birds were amongst a large flock of Griffin Vultures which were passing visually close to the moon which the camera chose to mostly focus on. Overall they are considerably darker black than even the dark Griffons and the head also appears to be darker than the Griffon's pale head, hence I have opted for the Black Vulture which is known to live in the area.

Habitat:

Flying over mountain airfield 1100 metres asl, alpine grasses and scattered bushes.
