Description:

Large native palm. Spends many years with no trunk but shoots up quickly when trunk starts to grow. sweet smelling flowers.

Habitat:

Southeastern United States.

Notes:

In full bloom . Flowers covered with Bees, wasps, flies and beetles etc.
