Description:

A little battered looking on the leaf fronds with very long thorns and a thin, tall, woody stem.

Habitat:

Shady wooded area near the salt marsh. Many cabbage palms and some scattered cedar trees were nearby, as well as many David's Milkberry plants (Chiococca alba), Iresine diffusa, and others.
