Description:
These spoonbill are quite unmistakeable with their large spoon shaped bill which they use to sweep back and forth through shallow ponds and marshes to hunt for fish, molluscs, amphibians, insects and larvae.
The African Spoonbill is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) applies.
Habitat:
Seen at Amboseli national park, Kenya.
