Field Notes

Description:

The beetle is 15-20 mm long. The color is jet black, slightly shiny, but not clearly metallic. The breast shield has two clear pits in each rear corner. The cover wings have clear longitudinal grooves. It has fully developed wings and can fly.

Habitat:

Forest edge under dead wood and leaves.
