Field Notes

Description:

Usually dark reddish-brown with red edges on each segment. The most commonly-seen large millipede in its range - Bugguide

Habitat:

Woodland habitat found in rotting log.

Notes:

This is actually two individuals found on the same log, so I put them in the same spotting. Found under a large sheet of rotting bark. Bark was placed back over the individuals when finished photographing.
