Field Notes

Description:

A number of tiny butterflies and/or moths have been seen momentarily on the mountain on our walks but they are very difficult to photograph as they are constantly on the move and frequently just vanish. Today we had a little more luck as a few settled in places where they were more visible. I got photographs of several today, two were moths and these two were butterflies of the same species, which I thought were Small Blue until I saw the underwing pattern.

Habitat:

Trackside on limestone mountain.
