The Great Horned Owl, also known as the Tiger Owl, is a large owl native to the Americas. It is an adaptable bird with a vast range and is the most widely distributed true owl in the Americas.

Christy - I think this was the day that all those errors were happening! it took forever for this image to push through. I actually had a ton of photographs from that weekend, and it was miserable getting any of them to post. @ Mona finding owls during the day requires very keen eyes! At night you can find them by call, but by day it pretty well requires knowing their roost. This particular young bird was just fledged from a nearby nest with its sibling in a nearby tree.
This got missed on the 28th????? Cody, that's adorable!!
Very nice... I like owls !! It's very rear in my country we can see owl in a day.
