Description:

Dark brown body with white belly; white face patch at the pink to orangr bill. Conspicuous bars and flecking underparts.

Habitat:

Wetlands such as marshes, lakes and rivers

Notes:

Can be seen with Canadian geese or in modestly sized flocks of thier own spaecies.
