Description:

Really neat little flower that blooms in the summer. It grows on a vine and the flowers are like pink and white stars in the dark underbrush. The center structure of the flower is hard and waxy. The buds are like plump little pillows.

Habitat:

Heavy undergrowth along the highway, Km 11.5, between Tuxtla Gutierrez and San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
