Description:

This is my first spotting of an eastern bluebird for 2014. Such a wonderful blue bird. 7" in size. Sky blue on head, back and tail. Rusty red breast and white belly. Female also has a rusty red breast and white belly but she is grayer with only faint blue tail and wings.

Habitat:

A group of these eastern bluebirds were spotted at a children's playground at Shepard State park in Gautier, Mississippi.
