Description:
Juncos build their nests under stumps sometimes in tree branches close to the ground. Very well hidden the parents jump down from a tree and walk under the wildflower leaves (Bluebead and Ladyslippers) to get to the nest. This nest is a simple one. It held three babies. The dad was darker then the mom.

Forest.
