Field Notes

Description:

Very unusual green flowers growing on a vine in heavy undergrowth. They were very small and tubular with long thin petals or bracts. At first I thought they were the stem remains of fallen flowers, but all the flower parts are present inside the tube. The buds are also long and tubular, preparing for the separation of the bracts.
