Field Notes

Description:

Alarmed by our presence, this spider took to the water and climbed the grass... Not really the best move as it just stranded itself. Luckily there wasn't a real predator after it, or it might have become lunch.

Habitat:

Partially flooded trail in a moist meadow/pine and saw palmetto area at Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park
