@KarenPuracan, if you look at the pictures properly you will notice there are Tree Sparrows in every picture and it continues the story started in the spotting referenced by the link in the description.
Lovely series Malcolm. I like the team 'stand-off' in #3. They must be confident little birds taking on those red eyed starlings.
Ahhh.. Asian Glossy Starling!
Only the last two are the Eurasian Tree Sparrow. The first black birds with bright red eyes I recognize from my years in the Philippines. Locals call it "Galansiyang". ... Not sure of English. I'll try to look it up.
