Description:
Purple cap that is covered with a white dusting or "bloom". Approximately 3" in size. Stem has a paler version of the cap color. Cream-colored gills are attached to the stem.
Habitat:
Spotted growing on a rocky trail along a nature trail in a mostly deciduous forest on the edge of the Hudson River.
