Description:

tree with orange/red flowers which bloom from February to April.
This Asian tropical tree has a straight tall tree and its leaves are deciduous in winter. Red flowers with 5 petals appears,it produces a capsule which, when ripe, contains white fibres like cotton. Its trunk bears spikes & is useful for timber, its wood is too soft to be very useful.Almost leafless when in full bloom. It presents a strikingly
remarkable sight when the usually bare branches are covered with large,
fleshy, red flowers. Birds are attracted to them, and are probably
responsible for their pollination.

Habitat:

Found near sea coast ,with full bloom with red flowers, Tree height approx 10m.
