Description:

Geometrid-like moth that looked greasy. The third picture was taken on the 8th of April in the same place, it is slightly lighter in color and still greasy looking. Even the body hairs look greasy. The 4th picture was taken in the same place on the 1st of August, 2013.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, semi-urban area on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Amazing trick of light. I'm finding it interesting how they look so different with flash. no-flash, other lights and angles etc. Their 'scales' are fascinating.
