Field Notes

Description:

•They were introduced in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, North America, Fiji, several Caribbean islands and South America, and was able to migrate to Thailand, Southeast Asia and New Guinea.
•They eat artrophods, earthworms, snails, small amphibians, lizards, seeds, grains, fruits, nectar and food waste if the opportunity arises, they can also eat eggs from the roseate tern.
•They are highly gregarious birds.

Habitat:

Urban or subirban areas, farmland, grazing pasture, playing fields, golf courses, airfields, forests, woodlands, shrubby areas, coastal areas and rarely dense, wet forests
