Field Notes

Description:

A picture set on filters to pick up the colour green to give a bit of colour to the dry Karoo of South Africa. The Eland is the largest antelope and the males have longer horns than the females. Sadly, this picture shows the Eland lying down to rest and not standing to show off its beautiful size.

Habitat:

From walking the sands in the Kalahari to Savannah, it is widespread throughout Sub Saharan Africa
