Description:

The prairie larkspur is a slender, upright perennial, with unbranched stems usually from 1-3 ft. tall. Its spurred flowers can range from white to pale blue. It attracts pollinators such as the hoary edge skipper butterfly in pic1 and the black swallowtail butterfly in pic 3.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Camp Robinson Wildlife Management Area in Arkansas. The habitats consisted of a mix of open meadows, woodlands, and riparian forests.
