Field Notes

Description:

Small mushroom with green-blue cap ca. 3 cm in diameter. White specks of veil remnants decorate the slimy cap. With time it loses the blue-green color. The stem is white, covered with small white flecks and with a fragile dark rim. The gills are purple with whitish rims.

Habitat:

Spotted between the moss in a pine tree forest, at the mountains (1300 m. high). Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar.
