Description:

A Member of the largest lizard species in Africa, this Water Monitor was found basking in the midday sun on the warm concrete slab of a national park bridge. Juveniles are usually vividly coloured and become more dull with age.

Habitat:

River banks and dams owing to their terrestrial and semi aquatic nature
