Field Notes

Description:

Shelled Gastropoda, or snails, are a group of organisms from Kingdom Animalia and the phylum Mollusca. They are known for being slow, slimy creatures that feed on old vegetables, berries, and plants. Snails typically grow from 0.04 inches to 12 inches and can weigh up to 2 pounds. Snails come in many different colors such as yellow, orange, red, white, grey, and brown depending on their habitat. Snails also have shells that continuously grow throughout their lifespan.

Habitat:

The particular snail that I found in my front yard, garden snails, live in a garden as shown in their name.
