Tachinid Fly
Tachinidae
15.4559, 119.92
Field Notes
Description:
I think that this fly belongs to the family Tachinidae because of its bristles (in picture 1) and its enlarged Calypters (in picture 2), but according to Wikipedia, there are "more than 8,200 known species". So, I am still searching and hope to be able to provide a better identification.
Habitat:
This Fly was resting on an unidentified, small leafy plant at the side of the road entering rice fields. At this time of year, these rice fields are being used for growing vegetables, between rice growing seasons.
