Field Notes

Description:

Characterized by long spine-like bristles (setae) on their legs. The Oxyopes javanus female has two pairs of diagonal white bands on the sides of the abdomen and the male has enlarged palps.

Habitat:

Rice fields, also could be found in the garden (often hiding under the leaf).

Notes:

Can be a pests biocontrol agent.
