Field Notes

Description:

A medium sized leaf beetle with deep brownish-red elytra which were deeply pitted (puncturations). The elytra had white spots of varying sizes randomly dispersed and at least two of these spots on each elytron were larger than the rest.<br> Thorax was tinged green with pale markings.

Habitat:

Spotted on a eucalyptus tree in nature reserve - Lysterfield.

Notes:

Placement of the large white spots is important in distinguishing between species. <br> Family: Chrysomelidae
