Description:

Bright red compact starfish, about 15 to 20 cm in diameter.

Habitat:

This is reportedly the most common starfish of Mediterranean, and a very common dweller of rocky bottoms in Dubrovnik riviera. Here, observed on rocks in a sand-rock bottom, not too far away from the coast, at about 9-10 m of depth.
