Field Notes

Description:

Almost 20 mm.long. lower side and legs are black.

Habitat:

It was resting on a fern leaf under a flowering zuzube tree.

Notes:

No doubt, it is a Lycidae member and net-winged beetle. I could see like this insects is supposed as 'Lycostomus porphyrophorus' (insecta.pro etc.). On the other hand 'bugguide.net, Wikipedia etc.shows 'Dictyoptera Aurora '. Golden net-winged beetle.
Please help.

Dictyoptera aurora is a species of North America and Europe, not found in Asia. Lycostomus porphyrophorus is a species from Far East Asia. Depending on your choice.
