Description:

A large orange Snipe Fly with metallic orange hair, orange halteres and orange eyes. A single dark spot on the outer edge of each wing. About 1 cm long. Family Rhagionidae.

Habitat:

Came to a black light. Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Soconusco area of southern Chiapas, Mexico. About 1 hour from Tapachula.
