Field Notes

Description:

Large Katydid, 3 cm long, with green and brown camouflage coloring. This one is an adult female (with ovipositor). Both sets of wings are present but reduced in size and insufficient for flight. Family Tettigoniidae.

Habitat:

Forest leaves, Chorreadero Park, Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.
