Field Notes

Description:

Green mantid to 6cm body length. It camouflages well against foliage, but on this night it came in the window to feed on the insects attracted to the lights.

Habitat:

Forest surrounding Te Mata Lodge, New Zealand

Notes:

It amazes me how they can walk up glass.
