Field Notes

Description:

Round berry like fruit (rose hips) are about 1/2 inch in diameter, turning bright red in late summer. Leaves are oval, rounded at the tip, with serrated edges.

Habitat:

Spotted at Tamarac along Hwy 126. Habitat: part shade, sun, along roads and edges of woods, fields, prairies.
