Description:

This Bee seems to be feeding on the sweat on the back of my friend's shirt when we were taking a break during a hike.
Around 1 cm in size, it has bluish eyes.

Hi Albert. This seems to be a fly rather than a bee. From the mouthparts (and the biology) I suspect it is a Tabanidae. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse-fly
